ABSTRACT: The unsteady magnetohydrodynamics free convection flow of an incompressible viscous nanofluid past a stretching surface is analyzed by taking into an account the variable viscosity and viscous dissipation under the influence of Hall currents effect. The boundary layer equations are governed by coupled nonlinear partial differential equations and transformed into a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations with the help of local similarity transformations. The coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations have been solved numerically by the implicit finite difference method. The effects of flow parameters such as magnetic parameter M, Hall parameter m, Prandtl number Pr, Eckert number Ec, thermophoresis parameter Nt, Brownian motion parameter Nb on axial velocity, transverse velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are investigated analyze through graphs. Physical quantities such as skin friction coefficient , heat transfer coefficient and mass transfer coefficient are also computed and are shown in table.

ABSTRACT: A large number of medicinal plants are claimed to be useful in treating skin diseases in all traditional system of medicine. The present study was carried out to investigate the antimicrobial effect of the sample isolated from the ethylacetate fraction of flowers of Bauhinia tomentosa. This compound was shown to possess antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi. Four bacterial strains S. typhi, E. coli, E. faecalis, B. cereus and two fungal strains C.lunata and C.albicans were tested by using disc diffusion method. The anti-bacterial activity of the compound isolated from ethyl acetate fraction is almost comparable with standard solvent control Chloramphenicol. The anti-fungal activity is almost comparable with standard solvent control Fluconazole.

ABSTRACT: The refined castor oil was modified by means of some additives including Viscosity Index improver (VII), pour point depressant (PPD), Total Base Number (TBN). The additives are from Petrobash Company (SUDAN). The modified oil was compared with lubricants samples from another local company MIRR SUPER DEISEL (SAE 50) company. It was found that castor oil can be used as base oil and can be modified by some additives to match lubricants uses.
